Short answer. Fundal Media charges a low monthly base fee plus a performance fee tied to the results the account delivers, agreed per account and measured in the client's own Shopify and Meta reporting. There is no percentage of ad spend, no setup charge for the audit and written strategy, and no long lock in contract. Ad spend is paid directly to Meta. The exact figures are given on the first call once we have seen the account, in writing, as part of the strategy.
How the pricing works
Two parts. A low monthly base fee that covers the people and the work, and a performance fee tied to the results the account delivers. The base fee is deliberately lower than a traditional agency retainer, because the performance fee carries the rest. If the account grows, we are paid properly. If it does not, we are not. That is the whole point of the structure: our income rises with your revenue, not with your ad budget and not with the length of your contract.
The performance fee is agreed per account before anything starts, written into the strategy, and measured in your own Shopify and Meta reporting, so there is nothing to argue about later. The base fee is scaled to the size of the account and the scope of the work.
What the base fee covers
The account, run by the two of us personally. Meta advertising, with the structure, weekly creative testing and daily optimisation described on the Meta advertising page. Creative direction: concepts, hooks, scripts and copy written for fashion, built around your existing assets. Klaviyo email and SMS, the six core flows and the campaign calendar, for accounts where we run Meta. Shopify conversion work on the product page, speed and checkout. A live dashboard, a written report every month and a call every two weeks with Elias. Larger builds, a full theme rebuild or a new store, are quoted separately and told to you before they start.
What the performance fee is tied to
Results, agreed in advance and measured in your own numbers. On most accounts that is a percentage tied to the revenue the account generates, set so that the fee is meaningful when the account grows and small when it has not yet. The mechanics are written down before we start: what is measured, where it is measured, and when it is invoiced. We will not run an account on a performance fee that we cannot measure in your own reporting, and you should not accept one from anyone.
What we do not charge
No percentage of ad spend. A fee on ad spend rewards the agency for spending, which is not the same as rewarding it for growth, and it is the most common reason agency and brand end up wanting different things. No charge for the audit or the written strategy, which you get inside seven days of the first call whether or not you go on to work with us. No long lock in contract. Ad spend is paid by you directly to Meta, inside your own Business Manager, and never passes through us.
Why a low base fee
Because it keeps us honest about who we take on. An agency that lives on retainers can afford to sign a brand that is not ready and bill it for a year. We cannot, because on a low base fee a brand that does not grow costs us money. So we say no on the call when the product or the positioning is not there yet, we cap the number of accounts, and we only take on brands we are confident we can grow. It is also why our clients stay for four to five years without a contract making them. The structure only works when the account performs, for both sides.
Three pricing models, compared
| Model | The agency is paid more when | What it rewards |
|---|---|---|
| Percentage of ad spend | You spend more | Spending |
| Flat retainer | The contract is longer | Staying |
| Low base fee plus performance fee | The account grows | Growth |
The flat retainer is not dishonest. It just does not put the agency's income on the same line as the brand's. The low base fee plus performance fee does, which is why nobody has to ask whether we are motivated to grow the account. The answer is in the invoice.
Two ways to work with us
The full account. For fashion brands doing roughly €50,000 to €2M or more a month, with product and fulfilment already working. The base fee plus performance fee model above, covering Meta, creative, Klaviyo and the store, run by Elias and Frederik personally.
Consulting. For brands below that level with a product and positioning that are clearly there. A smaller monthly fee for the strategy, the structure and a fortnightly review, with your team or your freelancer executing. We will tell you on the call which of the two fits rather than sell you the larger one.
How the number is set
You book a thirty minute call. We look at your Meta account, Shopify data and creative with you, and inside seven days you get a written strategy: what we would change, in what order, what we expect it to do to the numbers, and the base fee and performance terms for your account, in writing. The strategy is yours either way. If you want to go ahead, campaigns are usually live in week two or three, and the first real read on performance comes by week four to six. What the audit covers is in what we check in a fashion ad account audit.

Questions on this
How does Fundal Media charge?
A low monthly base fee plus a performance fee tied to the results the account delivers. The base fee covers the people and the work, the performance fee is agreed per account and measured in your own Shopify and Meta reporting, and both are given to you in writing after the first call.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?
No. A fee on ad spend rewards the agency for spending rather than for growth. Ad spend is paid by you directly to Meta and never passes through us.
What is the base fee?
A monthly fee scaled to the size of the account and the scope of the work, set deliberately lower than a traditional retainer because the performance fee carries the rest. We give you the exact figure in writing after the first call, once we have seen the account.
What is the performance fee tied to?
Results, agreed in advance. On most accounts it is a percentage tied to the revenue the account generates, measured in your own reporting, with what is measured and when it is invoiced written down before we start.
Is there a minimum contract?
There is no long lock in contract. Our clients stay with us for the performance, not because a contract makes them, and several have stayed four to five years on that basis. If we ever stop working together you keep every campaign, audience, flow and pixel.
What does the audit cost?
Nothing. The thirty minute call and the written strategy that follows inside seven days are free, whether or not you go on to work with us.
What if my brand is smaller than €50,000 a month?
Say so on the call. We sometimes take smaller brands on a consulting basis, with a smaller monthly fee for the strategy and a fortnightly review while your team executes, when the product and positioning are clearly there.
