Short answer. A fashion ad account audit should cover five things: the Meta account's structure and history (campaign count, audience strategy, retargeting share, creative cadence, learning phase churn), the Shopify data by product, market and customer type (conversion rate, AOV, returning rate, where revenue actually comes from), the store itself on a phone (product page, speed, checkout, landing pages), the Klaviyo account (which flows exist, share of revenue, segmentation), and the creative library (what has been tested, what is missing). The output is a written strategy with an order of work.
Why we audit before we quote
We cannot tell a founder what the work involves, or what it should cost, until we have seen the account. And the audit is where we find out whether we can help at all. Sometimes the answer is that the product or the positioning is not there yet, and we say so and point the founder somewhere useful. The audit and the strategy are free for that reason: they are how both sides decide.
Meta: the account and its history
We read the whole history, not the last thirty days. How many campaigns, how the audiences are built, what share of spend goes to retargeting, how often new creative has been introduced, how many times campaigns have been reset into learning, and what the account has actually returned at different spend levels. The patterns we find most often are a structure with too many campaigns and audiences, retargeting at two to three times what it should be, and creative that has not been refreshed in months. The structure we rebuild into is in how we structure a Meta account for fashion.
Shopify: where the revenue really comes from
Conversion rate overall and by device. Average order value and whether it has been falling. Returning customer rate. Revenue by product, by category and by market, so we know which pieces and which countries carry the brand. Return rate where it is available. This is the data that tells us whether the ads are the problem or the store is, and on most accounts the answer is the store first.
The store, on a phone
We go through the store the way a customer does, on a phone, from an ad. The product page: image order, fit and size, material, price and offer, reviews, add to cart. Page speed. The checkout, step by step. Where the ads currently land and whether it matches the ad. What we look for is in why the product page decides your ROAS.
Klaviyo: what exists and what it earns
Which flows are live, how they are written, what share of revenue email and SMS produce, how the list is segmented, and how often campaigns go out and to whom. Most accounts have a welcome flow with a discount, a single cart reminder and a weekly send to everyone, at five to twelve percent of revenue. The setup we build is in Klaviyo for fashion brands.
Creative: what has been tried
The creative library, the ads that have run, what performed and what did not, and which formats have never been tested. Most accounts have never run founder video and have never tested a hook about fit or making. The gaps are usually the biggest opportunity in the account.
What the written strategy contains
Inside seven days of the call you receive a written document with what we found in each of the five areas, the order of work we would run, what we expect each stage to do to the numbers, what the retainer would cover and what it would cost. It is yours whether or not you work with us. Founders have taken it to their existing agency, run it themselves, or come back to us six months later, and all three are fine.
Booking it
Thirty minutes with Elias, on the home page. Bring access to Meta, Shopify and Klaviyo if you can, and if you are under €50,000 a month say so and we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense yet.
Questions on this
What does a Meta ads audit for a fashion brand include?
The account's full structure and history, the Shopify data by product, market and customer type, the store itself on a phone, the Klaviyo account and the creative library. The output is a written strategy with an order of work.
Is the Fundal Media audit really free?
Yes. The audit and the written strategy that follows inside seven days are free, whether or not you go on to work with us. They are how both sides decide.
What do you need access to for the audit?
Meta Business Manager, Shopify and Klaviyo, ideally as a partner or a view only user. If access is not possible before the call, screenshots of the main reports are enough to start.
